Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the earth's continental crust, after feldspar. It is made up of a continuous framework of SiO4 silicon-oxygen tetrahedral, with each oxygen being shared between two tetrahedral, giving an overall formula SiO2.



This is a basic chemical to used in many industrial processes including building materials, houseware products, end process for solar cell systems.
